This week during class you will be working in pairs to translate the Declaration of Independence. "But, the Declaration of Independence is already in English, you say. . ." Well, Ol' TJ (Thomas Jefferson) did write it in English, however, the way he spoke English was quite fancy. We are going to be working on translating it into our own words to show that we understand the ideas that TJ and those who signed it were trying to get across to King George. Come to class ready to think hard!

So what should you be doing for homework? Visual Presentations about your assigned colony are due on Wednesday. Please remember, if you are doing a Power Point presentation you should read Power Point presentation guidelines on my website (click here to get there) and be sure that those presentations are emailed to me BEFORE class begins on Wednesday, March 19. Also, remember you should be working on the journal entries that tell me about the Events that led to the American Revolutionary War.
